Job Description
Our client in the Olive Branch, MS area is looking for Packers. Hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, some weekends required as needed. Under the general direction of the Production Manager, responsible for performing an array of duties..
Minimal Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others both within the department and externally.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mandatory overtime.
Responsibilities
Performs all tasks as instructed and works shifts as assigned by supervision
Responsible for performing packing tasks to ensure all company procedures are met and production is operating efficiently
Checks all boxes to ensure packing standards are met and all date codes are correct
Responsible for monitoring and handling of overflow product to minimize loss of product
Responsible for communication with other departments to ensure efficient operation of the production process
Maintains all records related to packaging
Performs relief duty in other departments as needed
Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean
Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed
Performs related duties as assigned by supervision
Responsible for meeting all quality, sanitation and production standards
Occasionally required to lift and pull up to 40 pounds
Occasionally required to carry items up to 40 pounds
Perform light to medium duty work tasks
