Job Description

Job Description:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will play a critical role in ensuring that our fleet of heavy equipment is well-maintained and in optimal working condition.


Responsibilities include:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.
  • Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to pinpoint issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the life span of our equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, as well as parts inventory.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing a range of heavy equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safety and the ability to work safely in a shop environment.

Compensation:

Competitive salary up to 135k an year

Shift:
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
