Job description
Under general oversight, support various quality control initiatives to ensure consistent product production in line with set standards. Collaborate with departments such as Materials, Engineering, Design, Sales, and Estimating.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Head teams to address quality issues using tools like 8D.
- Perform and report internal audits.
- Track quality records, report issues, and suggest resolutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to tackle quality challenges.
- Produce quality reports and oversee failure investigations.
- Engage with customers about quality concerns and partake in audits.
- Assist with the ISO Quality System.
- Enhance manufacturing processes for productivity and quality.
- Examine product failures in the supply chain and liaise with vendors for material quality.
- Train QA and Production staff.
- Undertake tasks assigned by the QA Manager.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 years in Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Engineering, ideally in industries like aerospace, semiconductor, or medical.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9001.
SKILLS:
- Read technical drawings and specifications.
- Grasp manufacturing methods such as machining and welding.
- Understand engineering, manufacturing, and compliance concepts.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated with strong project management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Open to new technologies and methods.
