RESPONSIBILITIES-
- Under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (PT), provide patient services, which have been delegated by the PT.
- Together with the PT, instruct the patient, and family, and assist in teaching exercise programs, to the patient and family.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises for at-home care.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients.
- Participate with staff, patients, and physicians in discharge activities and assist the Physical Therapist in completing the Physical Therapy Discharge Summary.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS-
- Meets the qualifications as established by APTA or other professional organization
- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the current state of practice.
- Experience in providing physical therapy services in a home health setting.
- Valid, Driver s License
- Kinnser (Preferred)

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc. Possesses and maintains current Heart Association Approved CPR certification. Current certification or license as required by Texas law.
