Job Summary:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs and initiatives within [Your Company Name]. Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Program Development: Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and prioritize environmental, health, and safety risks within the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure all company operations adhere to relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other governing bodies.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, fostering awareness and understanding of EHS policies and procedures.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Emergency Preparedness: Establish and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to address potential crises and disasters.
- Environmental Sustainability: Promote environmentally sustainable practices, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to EHS performance and compliance.
- Auditing and Inspections: Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and facilitate EHS initiatives.
- Budget Management: Manage the EHS budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve the EHS program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to lead and inspire a culture of safety.
Education & Experience: - Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. - 7+ years of experience in residential and commercial engineering. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
