About the role

We are expanding our Service Operations team which is focused on delivering world class Heat Pump installations for our customers. The Head of Operational Excellence plays a pivotal role in this, by ensuring that our operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with our overall strategy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Aira Operating Model and ensuring that all regions are making progress towards our operational goals.

This role is a senior, national position. There will be the necessity to travel throughout the UK frequently, and internationally occasionally. Candidates from all geographical locations across the UK may be considered for this position.

Other responsibilities include:

• Developing a deep knowledge of the Aira Operating Model and taking overall responsibility for ensuring regional and national development in accordance with our operational goals.
• Contributing to the continued development of the Aira Operating Model.
• Coaching and supporting regional Operational Excellence Coaches in developing operations in line with the Aira Operating Model.
• Executing audits for the regions.
• Supporting regions with structured problem solving.
• Reporting into Aira central office and contributing to global operational excellence improvements.

• A results focused track record, with demonstrable experience in delivering tangible improvements.
• Certification in operational excellence (Lean and Lean Six Sigma)
• Experience of working within a high growth environment.
• Leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to communicate with, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to remain detail-oriented whilst taking a long-term strategic view.
• The ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet reporting and operational deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
