p dirltrJob Title Software Solutions Architectbrpp dirltrWork Location Houston TX pp dirltrJob Code MPppResearch design and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs Work at an offsite location as needed for a deeper immersion in clients pool of projects and solutions such as live participation in key meetings brainstorming sessions knowledge transfer sessions with subject matter experts and activities aimed at building a competency center within a client Responsible for architectural design and implementation of new projects technical consulting for new projects standardization of development processes with the use of TDD (Test Driven Development) configuration of CICD (Continuous IntegrationContinuous Delivery) pipelines and implementation of Code Review practicebrpp dirltrAnalyze user needs and develop software solutions applying principles and techniques of computer science engineering and mathematical analysis Conduct clarification and discovery phases with clients subject matter experts and stakeholders Train clients personnel on how to use Azure and new web applications instead of old desktop ones Coach and mentor clients inhouse developers on new project technologiespp dirltrUpdate software and enhance existing software capabilities Responsible for reengineering of old projects written in VAXopenVMS for every architecture management and delivery phase Provide Strategic Consulting for emerging Azure competence center and other IT (Information Technology) initiatives within clients Redesign existing old software written in VAX and hosted in OpenVMS Build new Azure APIs (Application Programming Interface) Play a key role in connecting clients Solutions Architects team with the companys development center Build new Azure web applications pp dirltrWork with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements Be a liaison between clients inhouse team and companys team with members in it Ensure there is no communication gap between companys team and end clients team Build UML (Unified Modelling Language) diagrams present architectural landscapes provide cloud infrastructure overview design APIs and conduct code reviews for both companys development center and clients teams Conduct presentations and demonstrations to improve collaboration and visibility between companys development team and clients development team Provide communication with onsite subject matter experts and stakeholders Responsible for the management of an offshore team of people using Scrum agile practices and manage application of Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) techniques with companys crossfunctional teams pp dirltrMaintain databases within an application area working individually and coordinating database development as part of a team Create new SQL databases in clients cloud and onpremise IT environments Optimize queries for clients databases Assist clients with choosing between SQL and NoSQL databases based on project needs and requirementspp dirltrWill supervise employees Senior Software Engineers Quality Assurance Engineer and Business Analystpp dirltrSpecial Requirementspp dirltrSQL SQL Server Postgres MySQL NoSQL Cosmos DB Mongo DB Dynamo DB Cloud Azure Google Cloud Platform AWS NET C# Python JavaScript React Angular AGILE SCRUM VAX OpenVMS CICD UML TDD Oracle Sharepoint WCF OLAP Fortran C CppMinimum Requirements Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or similar fieldbrpp dirltr years of experience as a Software Solutions Architect or similar professionpp dirltrHow to Apply Applicants may report or send resumes to Softeq Development Corporation AttnHuman Resources Dairy Ashford Rd Suite Houston TX Please reference thisNotice and job code MPppbrppbrppbrp
