Job Description: As a Senior .NET Developer in the healthcare domain, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare applications with a primary focus on SMART on FHIR technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance patient care and support healthcare providers. Additionally, you will have a strong emphasis on EHR integration, including experience with systems like EPIC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain .NET applications in the healthcare domain, with a primary focus on SMART on FHIR technology.
- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements.
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure healthcare applications with an emphasis on EHR integration.
- Ensure seamless integration with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including but not limited to EPIC.
- Implement and adhere to industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, and enforce best practices for data security in EHR integrations.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior team members to promote best coding practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare IT, particularly in the realm of EHR and SMART on FHIR.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience as a .NET developer with a strong focus on healthcare applications.
- Proven experience with SMART on FHIR and FHIR standards.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and related technologies.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services for healthcare applications and EHR integration.
- Demonstrated experience with EHR systems, including EPIC, and knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data exchange standards.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
- Experience with Azure cloud platform is a MUST.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
