Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Network Engineer with expertise in cloud networking to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and a thorough understanding of Firewall technologies, as well as cloud networking concepts. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a large enterprise network infrastructure, including multi-cloud technologies, as well as providing advanced troubleshooting and support for network-related issues.
You will work closely with other teams to implement network security measures, including cloud security and firewall management and participate in the design and implementation of network upgrades and new projects, including cloud migration and integration. The ideal candidate will have a CCNP/AZ-500/AZ-700 or equivalent certification and at least 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on cloud technologies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must, as well as the flexibility to work on-call and outside of regular business hours as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, automate, and maintain a large enterprise network infrastructure, including multi-cloud environments to industry standards such as NIST.
- Develop network roadmaps and align with overall infrastructure technology roadmaps.
- Develop test plans and implement plans for various projects.
- Implementation of VLANs/Network segmentation, 802.1x authentication.
- Strong knowledge of Aruba ClearPass to enforce IT/OT network segmentation.
- Configure role-based access-controls and ensure minimum access when implementing network permissions using TACACS.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems and able to solve complex problems with multiple variables.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN configurations.
- Work with and administer Site to Site VPN and troubleshooting VPN related issues.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up for core network equipment.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
- Monitor and analyze network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work with other teams to implement network security measures, including cloud security and On-Prem Firewalls.
- Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
- Participate in the design and implementation of network upgrades and new projects, including cloud migration and integration.
Skills and Experience
- 5 - 10 years of experience in network engineering supporting complex multi-site networks, with a focus on cloud technologies.
- Corporate network environment exposure and understanding.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Familiarity with network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and ACLs.
- Experience with Firewall technologies vendors such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA.
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g. BGP) and cloud networking concepts (e.g. VPC, VPN, load balancing, Express Routes).
- General traditional networking and cloud technologies (eg. VLAN, WiFi).
- Experience with network security and network management tools, including cloud-specific security and management tools.
- Flexibility to work on-call and outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Technical Competencies
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
- Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) certification or equivalent preferred.
