Seeking a talented, experienced individual to be part of the Information Technology Team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as bridge liaison between Information Technology, Research & Investment infrastructure development, and Global Asset Allocation (GAA) business users. Utilize excellent communication and keen comprehensive abilities and to understand business needs, processes, standards, and requirements while pushing core initiatives forward.
- Work in a global team setting to design, architect, and support GAA data infrastructure projects focusing on performance, flexibility, and accessibility.
- Utilize both structured and unstructured data methods to find optimal solutions to meet business demands.
- Make recommendations to use innovative, creative approaches as appropriate to meet internal client needs.
- Assist in the design and development of enterprise data standards, best practices, and governance processes.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of vendor application software and tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing in Microsoft and/or Open source technologies: Linux, MongoDB, Visual Studio, C# .Net, VB .Net, ASP .Net, ADO .Net, WCF, Web Services
- 5+ years of design/architecture experience in data workflow and routing design
- 10+ years of SQL experience (MS SQL Server preferred) designing, developing, and optimizing database schemes and stored procedures.
- Strong knowledge in SOA and micro-services
- Excellent technical and business oriented communication skills are a must. Experience working extensively with business analysts, offshore Dev teams, and end users to understand complex business operations and requirements.
- Experience with Agile or iterative software development methodologies nice to have.
- Experience with statistical modeling languages such as R, SAS, Matlab and Python highly desired.
- Experience with Bloomberg, BDP, Bloomberg Data License, or other financial pricing services a plus.
- Experience with GitLab strongly preferred.
- Experience developing software solutions in support of investment or asset servicing business processes including portfolio management, investment research, trading, portfolio accounting, portfolio reconciliation, and/or custody is strongly desired.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team with other specialized individuals and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment serving highly adept developer oriented business clients.
- Experience establishing data workflows to be utilized by generic and open source APIs is a plus
- Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects with excellent quantitative skills
