JOB SUMMARY:
With minimal/no supervision, reviews, analyzes, and modifies complex n-tier client-server applications including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support TRS s line-of-business software applications. At least five years of experience with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Participates in the testing process thorough test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software. Converts project specifications and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding. Has keen analytical skills and
meticulous attention to detail. Confers with customers to develop an understanding of business objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of five (5) years of full-time work experience with n-tier client-server applications and object oriented languages (Delphi, C#, VB.Net, Pascal, C/C++). Alternatively, this position may have five years of full-time work experience with Web Application Frameworks (.Net). Work experience must include work with the following technologies: MIDAS/DataSnap, SOAP/Web Technologies, and SQL/TSQL.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS (CERTIFICATES, SPECIAL EQUIPMENT)
Intermediate skills and proficiency with one or more of the following: Delphi, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal Reports.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs, codes, and debugs complex computer programs to meet documented requirements following
applicable procedures.
Writes new applications or modifies existing applications per business specifications verbal or written.
Mentor less experienced personnel and review their work.
Developing and maintaining complex n-tier client/server applications.
Quickly completes high priority assignments and effectively manage and complete multiple, concurrent
projects. Can quickly accommodate reprioritization of projects.
Can install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot/support third party software applications used by business
units.
Effectively uses software development and maintenance tools to develop diagrams, models, and charts that
are easily followed and understood. Develop project work plans and schedules for complex projects. Works
as part of project team to deliver business systems on budget and schedule.
Monitors and improves departmental documentation and production migration processes and procedures.
Ensures less experienced personnel follow prescribed procedures.
Maintains professional knowledge of current trends and new technology developments. Maintains a high level
of technical skill reading appropriate literature and completion of technical training.
Maintains a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing
services to clients or external customers.
Interacts with all levels of personnel in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation, and contributes
to excellent performance.
