Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Analyst IV will provide technical assistance and consultation to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) child welfare application, client's Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (eWiSACWIS). This position supports the overall testing of eWiSACWIS. This position works with the vendor to define and develop detailed specifications and designs for system development. The position will work with County and State programmatic staff and Child Welfare project management staff to define and develop applications to support business processes. Duties include developing and executing system test plans, evaluation of system effectiveness, and documentation review for eWiSACWIS. This position will have major responsibility for the review and analysis of changes in eWiSACWIS, including detailed specifications for programming staff, developing test criteria, and post implementation evaluation.

The individual in this position will:

  • Identify and apply best practices.
  • Evaluate software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
  • Evaluate program output and reports for accuracy and policies and procedures for quality.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Review new or modified application/functionality, including documentation and specifications, to determine if final solution(s) will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
  • Recommend improvements or corrections to development team.
  • Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
  • Evaluates networks to determine efficiencies and the quality of security systems, etc.
  • Independently, performs a variety of tasks.
  • Have 10 or more years of experience testing software applications.
