Job Description
Job Title: Epic Cogito Business Intelligence Developer
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site preferred)
Job Duration: Contract through June + annual extension
Job Overview: This role will build and support the Epic Cogito reporting modules for all Patient Access, Revenue Cycle and Clinical areas.

Job Overview: This role will build and support the Epic Cogito reporting modules for all Patient Access, Revenue Cycle and Clinical areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in planning, coordination, development, implementation, and maintenance activities related to data reporting, data mining, and data analysis.
- Collaborates with clinicians and system end users to design, build, implement, document, evaluate, and maintain Epic data reporting tools and integrated components.
- Utilizes a knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and other data analytical tools to build and maintain reporting user interfaces (e.g., alerts, prompts, screens, dashboards, templates, reports and data extracts). Analyzes and understand business problems; recommends solutions meeting organizational, clinical, and business systems reporting goals.
- Supports a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery reporting platform that improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients' experiences continually.
- Two (2) years of directly related professional experience.
- Communication skills (critical). Complex problem-solving skills (critical). Experience with one or more of Epic's Cogito reporting modules, including Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles. Experience with SQL-like language. Journeyman knowledge of SQL programming and data extraction methodologies. Knowledge of report development best practices. Understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts. Familiarity with hospital workflows. Familiar with programming languages, data modeling standards, and data structures. Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented programming language. Ability to analyze/understand business problems and recommend solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field.
- Related Epic certification(s) required. Multiple certifications may be required depending on functional area and job responsibilities.
