Job Description

Security Comments: The following screenings must be met by all contract labor resources at PharMerica and need to be ran through HireRight: Select from Packages 1-4 1) Candidates must pass an 8 Panel Drug Screen and a 7 Year County/Federal Background Check. They no longer test for Marijuana. 2) E-Verify is required. 3) All resources must be screened against lists of Ineligible Persons on the OIG/GSA sites. (Office Inspector General/General Services Administration) Candidates fail if they are on an exclusion list. 4) Temporary Form must be completed and sent back to MSP. 5) Appropriate Registrations/Licenses/Certifications (specific to position) 6) On-line training must be completed prior to start. MSP will register user and PharMerica's system will send training directly.
Position Description: Pay range $15-$20 an hour. Please use package 4 in HireRight. They are looking for two Pharmacy Techs or strong Data Entry who will be trained to assist with completing pharmacy returns over the next few weeks. Once trained, there s a lot of flexibility on work schedule. They can work mornings, nights, weekdays, weekends at any time. Also need two Admin people who can help with returns. Does not need to be Certified - Pay $15.00 an hour. Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventory Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner May process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction Assists in the training of new employees Also performs at least one of the following: o Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room; o Works with automated machine to prepack drugs; o Manages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand; o Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry); o Mixes/packages IV medications, sanitizes IV room, equipment and hood Services facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow) Performs other tasks as assigned Qualifications: Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer; ability to recognize and identify medications. Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication. Pharmacy Technician license. Desired: Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
