Job Description

TravelLocal is an online platform for personalised travel directly from local agencies and tour operators. We have been enabling travellers to connect with local experts in the destination to organise a trip that is truly tailored to their wishes since 2013.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Executive for our North American (NA) market (USA & Canada). This position requires in-depth knowledge of the NA marketing and travel landscape.

You will work within our global marketing team to create and customise content that is highly relevant and motivating for our NA travellers across all touchpoints and marketing channels. You ll have a flair for copywriting in (and editing into) American English and a passion for travel.

Tasks

  • Ensure that all NA touchpoints are populated with best in class, relevant US English content (copy, imagery, video); this includes translation from UK English, both long- and short-form copywriting, and commissioning work from external specialists
  • Contribute to the global campaign and content planning processes, ensuring we balance global and local themes
  • Advise on NA travel, audience, competitor and marketing trends and insight to enhance our brand, product and trip offer
  • Support the Performance Marketing team (PPC, CRM, Social, SEO) with NA research and insights to improve brand impact, targeting and results
  • Support NA PR activity with trends, themes and content to drive exposure and SEO impact
  • Support the Brand & Content Managers to ensure all brand guidelines are adhered to

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role or roles
  • Excellent copywriting skills (US English)
  • Experience of commissioning & editing third party content (copy, video, imagery)
  • A good understanding of the US/CA audience and travel market
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for travel
