Position :: Hardware Design Engineer (Conventional - Vehicle Type)

Job Description:
- Conventional PT and Electric PT HIL modification with the existing Framework & Commissioning.
- ECU Scope and Device Transmittal Analysis and Team reviews (Variant configuration) and provide a harness definition/spec.
- Vehicle System documentation reviews (VFs, HWI, DBC, Multiple iterations as driven by programs milestones) - provide an OPL and manage resolution of all critical issues.
- HIL Configuration Documentation (IOs, Signal list, wiring layout, simulator new feature/design, etc.)
- Modeling development consistent with company Framework (may require multiple iterations), including coordinating external suppliers' models.
- Material Procurement: Controllers, connector/terminals/cables, load boxes (injectors, solenoids etc.), Harnesses etc. company can provide non-released controllers to the provider.
- Test property basic functional test check outs, and Control Desk / Provetech function check out, and commissioning report (Release notes)
- Simulator system hardware design (upgraded as needed) and implementation (e.g., HIL, Harness, Load box) and HW coordination in HIL commissioning.
- Review and analyze Vehicle System Documentation (VFs, HWI, dbc, Multiple iterations for early loop, X0, X1, X2, etc.) to capture in the overall HIL design and timing requirements.
- Systems issues triage/root cause/resolution during each stage of commissioning (prerelease), and also manage open issues identified after delivery.
- HIL Simulation open loop commissioning (IO checkout, PC setup, etc. for all Programs including carryovers) and provide open-loop commissioning reports to include all issue open and closed)
- Closed loop Commissioning: HILs, ECU, load devices (feature functionalities, power/ground, communications, FIU, etc.) and provide closed-loop commissioning reports to include all issue open and closed)
- Configure all required customers HILs after closed-loop commissioning is complete (e.g., Controls, Calibration, and Validation teams etc.)
- HIL Application Engineering support for internal company stakeholders as well external suppliers as needed) to setup their HILs as planned.
- Onsite technical support (at company Auburn Hill, Michigan) for HIL development and commissioning
- PS HIL integration with EE VHIL (as needed)
- Weekly program progress reports with related KPIs (e.g., on time delivery, issues tracking, etc.)
