Client Overview

Our client is a multinational and fast-growing company here in the United States. To assist in their continued growth in the US market, we have been hired to assist them in the recruitment of a Business Development Manager.

Job Description

The primary objective of the Business Development Manager is to facilitate the establishment and growth of our client's Composite Materials business in the USA market, with a strategic emphasis on delivering value-added products and services within sectors such as cruises, aerospace, and rail. The business development manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, and negotiating and closing deals. The business development manager will also work closely with the technical and production teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify and evaluate new potential customers in the marine and transportation industries as well as new market opportunities.
  • Work with customers to understand current pain points and develop solutions with the business technical services team to provide value-added solutions to the customer.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to create and implement effective business development strategies and plans from scratch to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Provide feedback and insights to management on market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, etc.
  • Grow our current client base, drive new business, and build close and trusted relationships with brands.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the target markets.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including discovery, prospecting, nurturing, negotiation, and contract completion.
  • Establish productive, stimulating, and professional relationships with key personnel inside the company.
  • Liaison between the customer and product development to ensure clients needs are met.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in sales, business administration, engineering, or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the civil transportation, aerospace, or defense industries.
  • Background in providing solutions-driven sales to clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Availability to travel frequently nationally.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is driven by the challenge of finding and creating new opportunities for our client s Composite Materials business in the USA market. Someone who has excellent communication and negotiation skills and can build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners. This person is analytical, creative and can develop and implement effective business development strategies and plans. They are self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused and can work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Candidate must show proof of US citizenship/visa/alien registration.
