Primary Mission for HR Manager:

The primary mission of the HR Manager is to serve as the local architect of HR excellence, ensuring the seamless implementation of global HR policies, procedures, and programs within a manufacturing plant environment. In close collaboration with Corporate HR in Italy, the HR Manager will not only build robust budgets and forecasts but also utilize a data-driven approach to measure HR KPIs, predominantly leveraging Excel. Furthermore, this mission centers on becoming the strategic partner of the General Manager, actively contributing to the growth and success of the manufacturing plants. A focal point will be the facilitation of efficient talent acquisition, onboarding, and talent retention initiatives. Given the ambitious recruitment plans in the Charlotte area, a deep understanding of the local industrial landscape is imperative, underscoring the HR Manager's role as a vital catalyst in sustaining and nurturing the plant's workforce.

Specific Duties:

  1. Employee Relations Expertise: Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a harmonious work environment. Act as a trusted advisor to employees, offering guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  2. HR Policy Implementation and Standardization: Implement and standardize HR policies and programs in alignment with corporate guidelines. Ensure consistent application of HR practices across the local organization.
  3. HR Cost Control and Reporting: Manage HR budgeting and reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Monitor and control HR-related costs, providing insights and recommendations for cost-effective strategies.
  4. Mass Recruitment and Onboarding: Spearhead mass recruitment efforts, from sourcing to hiring and onboarding, to meet the ambitious growth targets. Develop and execute effective strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  5. Local/Regional Industrial Knowledge: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the local and regional industrial landscape, particularly within automated manufacturing plants, to tailor HR initiatives and strategies to the specific needs of the environment.
  6. Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and agility in working with a global team, including early morning availability for interactions with headquarters. Thrive in a start-up environment.
  7. Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams, fostering collaboration and understanding.
  8. HR Business Partnering (HRBP): Adopt an HR Business Partner mindset in collaboration with the General Manager to build high-performing teams, supporting aggressive hiring plans and aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
  9. Teamwork and Active Listening: Promote a culture of teamwork and active listening, ensuring that employee concerns and feedback are heard and addressed promptly.
  10. Ethical and Transparent Practices: Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain transparency in sharing information with both the General Manager and Corporate, especially when identifying and resolving critical issues.
  11. Translating Company Values and Mission: Play a pivotal role in translating and implementing the company's values, mission, and behaviors within the local organization, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and culture.

Qualifications for HR Manager:

  1. Proven Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in core HR competencies, including expertise in employee relations, HR policy implementation, standardization, HR cost control, budgeting, and reporting, as well as managing mass recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the local and regional industrial environment, preferably with prior experience in automated manufacturing plants, enabling effective adaptation of HR strategies to the unique needs of the industry.
  3. Manufacturing HR Expertise: Demonstrated success in HR roles within manufacturing environments, with a preference for experience in Italian or European multinational companies, showcasing a deep understanding of the complexities of HR in this context.
  4. Flexibility and Adaptability: A highly flexible and adaptable professional, capable of accommodating early morning interactions with the headquarters and thriving in a start-up environment that demands dedication, problem-solving skills.
  5. Positive Energy and Career Focus: An individual with a positive and dynamic attitude, driven by a commitment to career growth and development, as well as a strong dedication to being actively present onsite.
