Job Description

DESTINATION SERVICES MANAGER

Hello! Destination Management is a destination management company serving meeting planners in many of the country’s most popular destinations. SCHEDULE:This position is based on client needs, and will require you to workdays, evenings, and/or nights as well asholidays and weekends, as needed.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION
To cultivate sales from leads generated by the assigned hotel for groups300 and under or who have four or less services to be provided or by Account Executives. The ability to execute the program as sold while exceeding client expectations and requirements. Being available to the client, the hotel, and vendors at all times.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong Sales Skills, Organization, Time Management, Strong Communication, Excel and Word, One-on-one personal interaction, and outgoing and positive attitude. Background in destination management preferred.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Sales in assigned area or hotel.
  • Manage all accounts from proposal through final billing.
  • Communicate with client to determine needs.
  • Communicate with vendors to generate proposals.
  • Communicate with client to review proposals and required revisions.
  • Generate Program Recap and distribute to client and hotel.
  • Communicate with hotel and provide required information.
  • Conduct site visits with clients.
  • Contract approved services with client.
  • Pre-book transportation and field staff
  • Attend pre and post conference client meetings.
  • Manage and be on-site for all client events.
  • Check in with clients daily during program operations.
  • Review final invoice with billing.
  • Return all customer calls within 24 hours.
  • Follow up with client with final invoice and evaluation.
  • Maintain relationships with client and hotel partners.
  • Manage deposits and accounts receivables.
  • Be solution oriented.
