Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated JIRA Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the functionality of our JIRA system and related tools. Your primary duties will include analyzing system functionality, managing user permissions, performing system administration tasks, ensuring tool compatibility, and optimizing JIRA projects and workflows.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (4-8 years) in a related field.

Experience:

  • Active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a w/CI Poly.
  • Experience with VMware and virtualization (VMware vCenter, ESXi, KVM).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in periodic system backups and standard operating procedures documentation within the last 3 years.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Atlassian product suite, with a focus on JIRA administration.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Atlassian tool administration, particularly JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in constructing custom dashboards and integrating JIRA projects with Confluence pages.
  • Ability to automate system tasks using bash, Python, or Perl scripting.
  • Experience with Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installations.
  • LDAP integration experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and adaptability in a dynamic agile environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
  • Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).
  • Experience installing applications on VMs, monitoring performance, and managing logs on Unix Systems Administration and Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Skills in Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Database administration.
  • Prior experience with DISA and DISAs support for mission partners.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s degree and 5+ years or Master s and 3+ years of related experience Strong problem-solving, systems analysis, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong foundation in applying data management domains with the ability to communicate data management concepts and best practices to data engineers, data architects, and data stewards, to support implementing a data management framework. Understanding of related technologies (e.g., relational and non-relational databases, cloud platforms, data catalogs, data modeling, ETL, SQL, and Python). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suites Data Management life cycle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Databricks, BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.) Ability to work collaboratively and independently Ability to learn technologies proactively and quickly and solve problems Strong attention to detail, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Top Secret / SCI clearance required DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with the U.S. government on areas concerning national security. Experience supporting Cloud Technologies, Data Engineering/Data Science knowledge, Cloud technologies, Analytic Tools
