To lead our Purchasing Team based in Warwick we are looking for you as
SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER
As Purchasing Manager (m/f) at Godiva you are part of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for managing all procurement activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising. While you are leading and developing your team you are implementing improvements to take the department to the next level.
YOUR TASKS
The full management of the Purchasing function including processes and procedures and the overall efficiency of the function.
Provide leadership and development to the purchasing team.
The complete review of the function as well as implementation of improvements.
Ensure all departmental processes are compliant and effective.
Negotiate contracts and terms with a global supply base.
Quote, negotiate orders, and complete transactions with sources in the U.S., China, India, and other countries.
Monitor worldwide changes that affect supply and demand, tracking market conditions that impact price trends and delivery constraints. Take proactive steps to ensure flow.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor s degree in Purchasing, Business Administration, or related field, CIPS certification is a plus.
Multiple years experience in supply chain management; or equivalent
Profound experience as a Purchasing Manager within a low/mid volume manufacturing or engineering business.
Proven track record in delivering a best in class purchasing service to your business.
Experience in Value Stream Mapping and Managed Inventories.
Strong analytical skills and cost consciousness
Excellent people managing skills.
Solid systems knowledge including MRP Systems
