Job Description
Job Title: SAP BW/Business Objects -Lead role
Location: Columbus OH
Duration: 10 months+
Job Description:
Keys skills: Job Monitoring, Issue Resolution, Enhancements, L2 support, Business Communication.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of SAP BW/BW on HANA experience in an international and complex SAP environment.
- At least one full life cycle implementations.
- Experience in supporting or Implementing SAP BW 7.3/7.4/7.5 for a large global/retail client.
- Should have supported SAP BI/BOBJ for any production queries, issues remediation and providing the root cause analysis.
- Exposure and Understanding of the hardware that the instances run on.
- Hands on knowledge around debugging ABAP programs.
- Exposure to Design and develop report using SAP BO 4.2 by using Web i/Dashboard etc.
- Experience in working with global teams and on working weekends on a rotational basis.
- Individual Contributor with responsibilities to manage data loads, Issue resolution and Performance tuning. As a part of maintenance team, person should know the data loading, all the information related to Info Providers, process chains common failures issue and their measures, data load optimization, routines, measure on repetitive issues to make system smooth, sizing Documentation, data preparation, BW backend part, ticket support.
- Knowledge in Maintenance activity, housekeeping activity, System Upgradation activity, Request Transport. Having a knowledge of Maintenance activity such as Ad hoc data loads, automations, system health checks, maintaining currency units, Table maintenance, housekeeping activity like PSA/change log deletions, History data analysis, ERP system issues, Delta clearance activities extractions, etc.
- Should have extensive hands-on experience in performance-tuned BW & HANA modeling along with Production support for Process chains and Reports built in BW and HANA.
- Exposure to Business Objects (BICS and Universe Reporting).
- Expertise in both BW and ECC back-end object development and support - extractors, data sources, DSOs, info cubes, multi providers, info sets, open hubs, APDs, info packages, DTPs
- Expertise in scheduling and monitoring BW data loads/jobs and troubleshooting and working with offshore team to resolve data load issues.
- Experience with SAP HANA Data provisioning using SAP LT Replication server, ECC table data model and analysis.
- Well versed on SAP HANA with SAP HANA Data provisioning using SAP LT Replication server.
- Experience with SAP HANA Modeling using Attribute view, Analytical view and Calculation view HANA Modeling using Attribute view, Analytical view, and Calculation view.
- Mandatory Experience in scheduling tool like Control-M or Cherwell.
Qualifications:
- 11-13 + years of experience communicating technical information to a non-technical audience, and technical/business writing experience.
- Experience troubleshooting end-to-end process by interacting with various business partners, store users, and partner technical teams in Development, Support, Infrastructure, Network, Database, Server teams, etc.
- Solid understanding of support processes and various SAP modules.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Deadline-driven and exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced team environment.
- Self-starter with enthusiasm and a drive for excellence.
- Working knowledge of ITIL guidelines for service operations.
- Ticket triaging and problem management experience.
- UML/Visio diagraming skills for rendering and understanding use case scenarios and designs.
- Friendly, approachable, and a quick learner.
- Takes initiative and follows-through on tasks and activities.
- Able to work closely with remote team members and multiple stakeholders in driving and delivering on support processes.
