About the role:

You will be joining a close knit and friendly company with a strong technical team. As a QA Engineer you will work as part of a sub team taking your lead from existing QA personnel and collaborating with software engineers to test a varied range of front end SaaS web apps and back end data and services.

• 2 years commercial experience as a manual tester on a SaaS product.
• Significant experience feature & regression testing web UI, APIs and internal desktop apps.
• Excellent understanding and experience of modern QA practices and tools.
• Experience devising and executing detailed test plans.
• Experience triaging customer issues/bugs and creating tracker tickets (JIRA or similar).
• Ability to understand our product, empathise with customers and be their voice.
• Have a track record of working independently while contributing to a larger team.
• Experience working directly with developers and providing QA feedback to them.
• Competency in DB / SQL sufficient to facilitate efficient testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Who you are, the desirables:

• Appetite to take ownership of QA functions such as manual testing while taking lead from existing QA personnel.
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
• Has actively participated in feature definition, refinement, and retro agile ceremonies.
• Experience in QA aspects of release planning.
• Experience in identifying QA process improvements.
• Experience using Postman/SoapUI/Insomnia for stress testing APIs.
• Good understanding of modern web user authentication and security practices.
• Recognised certification/accreditation in software testing.
• Experience creating end user documentation.
• Experience configuring and deploying builds to QA environments.
• Experience testing distributed applications within cloud infrastructures.
• Experience measuring QA performance, KPIs, dashboards etc.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, Postman/Insomnia, MySQL workbench.
