CABLE JOINTER

Our client has an exciting opportunity for experienced Cable Jointers on a full time permanent basis, preferably temporary to permanent, for two sites; Suffolk and Hillingdon.

These role require live LV mains and service jointing, MSDBs, short cable installs, and 11kV / 33kV jointing (LV & HV plus pole mounted). The candidates need to be appropriately trained and experienced.

Cable Jointer Requirements:

• Carry out on site Risk Assessments before commencing works;
  
• Demonstrate a culture of Health, Safety and Quality at all times;
  
• Ensure all works are carried out to DNO speci cations SSE, UKPN, WPD;
  
• Ensure the appropriate usage of Tools, Equipment and Plant;
  
• Complete all site records and tablet work as required;
  
• Ensure any personnel under your supervision have the relevant experience, knowledge, and training to carry out tasks; and
  
• When carrying out works within the public highway, ensure works signed and barriered in accordance with Chapter 8 NRSWA.
  

Cable Jointer Skills and Qualifications:

• Recognised DNO / iDNO LV, LV live, 11kV and / or 33kV cable jointing training;
  
• Engineering Recommendation G39;
  
• Previous DNO / iDNO LV, LV live, 11kV and / or 33kV cable jointing authorisation(s);
  
• Full UK driving licence;
  
• Willing to travel;
  

Be able to work extra hours if required;

• EUSR or ECS card;
  
• First aid certi cation; and
  

NRSWA Operator certi cation (desirable).

Cable Jointer - Offer:

Salary ranging up to 37k Depending on Experience

Hours per week:

o Suffolk 07:00 to 16:30

o Hillingdon 06:00 to 14:30

Always starting from the base and then using the work transport provided to go to site.
