Job Description

We need a part-time front desk receptionist 3PM to 11PM

Tasks

Job Brief

We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. You will manage our front desk and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the receptionist include but are not limited to the following:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out tasks
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Maintain records of bookings and payments in our Property Management

System

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs in individual rooms and common areas
  • Oversee the work of the cleaners by ensuring that rooms are ready for customers
  • Deal with special requests from guests
  • Respond to guests complaints in a timely and professional manner and contact

necessary staff to solve problems that arise

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive and sort mail / deliveries
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing receipts, checking invoices, etc.

Requirements

Requirements and skills

  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Computer skills
  • Customer-oriented and friendly
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Spoken and written English skills

Recruitment Checks

  • A copy of photo identification
  • Authorisation to stay/work in the UK
  • DBS (formerly CRB) check.
