Job Description

IT Operations Manager

We are looking for someone who enjoys defining, implementing and managing structured business processes, ensuring internal operations run efficiently, consistently and predictably to provide clients with a great client-experience. It s a unique role blending process, technical and managerial skills in order to help us achieve our goal of delivering great technology to our clients.

This is the perfect opportunity for a talented individual to join a fast-growing Managed Services Provider, working on the latest technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Gathering and defining requirements for internal and client facing IT systems, to ensure the smooth day to day running of service delivery to clients. (Including interdependencies with the company/client s service catalogue)

Creating, implementing, and managing internal and client facing processes. (Including process documentation and workflow diagrams)

Owning and acting as the escalation point for process improvement, updating and manging the process improvement through to completion.

Working with clients to ensure client facing processes are clearly defined, managed and updated. (Partially in relation to client specific service catalogues)

Managing client contracts, to ensure clients are on the most appropriate service contract for their needs.

Managing vendor contracts and relationships, to ensure we are making the most of relationships with suppliers and their offerings.

Lead the evaluation of new products/services/vendors.

Managing business process analyst(s) (TBC as part of future growth)

Managing change within the business to ensure alignment of business process and services.

Membership of the Change Advisory Board to provide peer review of proposed changes to client systems.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience implementing and managing ITIL processes, including:

Incident and change management

Service Design

Service Catalogue

A proven track record as a business process analyst, team manager and/or project manager

A technical background

Experience analysing and documenting business processes.

A strong understanding of business change and managing transformation.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

The ability to manage parallel streams of interrelated work.

Working knowledge of business process documentation standards.

Working knowledge with a managed services company.
