Structural Welder
Pay: $21.00/hr. (Shift Diff for nights of $1.00)
Hours: 6:00AM-2:30PM OR 4PM-12:30AM Monday-Friday
Location: Sapulpa, OK
Test: 3G Mig/Flux Core, T-Plate
Job Responsibilities:
- This job requires the individual to work with and around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated equipment and other hazardous processes which requires this job to be classified a SAFETY SENSITIVE position.
- Employ appropriate welding methods in completing structural fabrication.
- Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS).
- Carry out fillet, tack, and full penetration welding on steel structural joints.
- Apply welding processes such as GMAW and FCAW.
- Carry out post-welding treatment of structures by cleaning and grinding materials to meet requirements.
- Set equipment to weld in the vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead positions.
- Operate overhead cranes, pallet jacks and dollies to move equipment and material into position.
- Inspect and evaluate work to ensure it is free of defects and conforms to set specifications.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Inspect and ensure equipment is in good working order at the start of shift and at the end of shift.
- Adhere to company safety and quality procedures.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manor.
- Report any equipment or product defects to your supervisor immediately.
Job Requirements:
- 1 Year welding experience and/or welding school graduate.
- Able to set up, evaluate and operate various welding and cutting equipment, such as but not limited to oxygen and fuel gas cutting equipment, plasma cutting equipment and AC/DC welding equipment.
- Pass required welding qualification test.
