Job Description
Engineering Buyer
2+ years of experience in working with suppliers and purchasing
- Oversees and administers all procurement tasks in support of Engineering's New Product Development (NPD) and Customer Product Engineering (CPE) projects.
- Manages Engineering R&D Shop/Lab inventory, addresses shortages, and handles parts management from the Production inventory.
- Oversees and administers all procurement tasks to aid the Engineering Research and Development (R&D) Shop/Lab Group.
- Maintains supplier relationships within the defined scope of responsibilities.
- Collaborates with Production Procurement and Inventory teams to fulfill Engineering NPD/CPE requirements and adhere to project timelines.
- Supervises parts supply for Prototype and Pilot Builds within the Engineering R&D Shop/Lab.
- Proposes and develops enhancements to procurement and inventory processes/systems to enhance the function's capabilities and accuracy.
- Associates, Bachelors preferred
- 2+ years of experience in working with suppliers
- PO writing experience
- BOM familiarity is a plus
- Ability to push agressive schedules in a professional manner
