An educational organization is seeking to hire a Payroll Coordinator. In this seat, you would be using MUNIS software to process both weekly and bi-weekly payroll. The ideal candidate has 1-5 years of payroll or bookkeeping experience, is Excel savvy, and can learn software quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll and assist with special payrolls.
- Assist full time new hires (direct deposit and tax withholding setup).
- Assist and respond to inquiries pertaining to payroll and time tracking issues.
- Act as a liaison to HR and Recruitment for new hires, job changes, and terminations.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience processing payroll required.
- Work experience with time tracking systems is preferred.
- Experience with Workday HRIS and Payroll implementation is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines and to have the ability to anticipate important issues that may impact the payroll process.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local taxes related laws and regulations.
- College degree preferred.
