We re Hiring a Product Manager

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Southampton HQ + Travel)

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 DOE

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager while having oversight of features being built by one or more squads, your main goal will be to deliver quality features that have a positive impact on customer satisfaction and key business metrics.

Able to work in a fast paced, changing environment, you will be able to quickly navigate a path to success with multiple stakeholders within the business and able to communicate at all levels from the engineers to senior management. Adept at being able to solve problems for customers, you are able to cut through complexity and articulate their needs clearly to our development teams.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering key product features, understanding business requirements and turning those into detailed user stories and tasks for the development team. Through our agile practices, you will support the Senior Product Manager to ensure we maintain a consistent velocity and blockers are removed quickly and effectively.

As a Product Manager, you are expected to engaged in a variety of work: from the ideation of a subset of new product features including scope, documentation and release material, to creating content for proposals and facilitating refinement with the team to ensure tickets are ready for development.

Some key areas you ll be working on:

  • Championing the needs of our customers and working to solve real problems to ensure they can deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Scoping product features from concept through to launch aligned to AXP product vision
  • Interpreting technical documentation for new and existing integration partners and translating requirements into stories ready for development
  • Developing and maintaining product roadmaps, aligned with company objectives, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress and changes
  • Ensuring new features have support documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Gathering business and system requirements using the most appropriate techniques to ensure the business needs are clearly understood and agreed by the team
  • Acting as the bridge between product and development team including mobile development (onshore and offshore) to clarify requirements and facilitate communication among internal team members
  • Communicating with vendors and third party service providers to resolve technical issues
  • Understanding any interdependencies with other tech platforms for the changes you are driving
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data and customer success to deliver high-quality, impactful features
  • Gathering customer feedback into meaningful data and ideation

Important to have:

  • Proven experience working as a Product Manager, preferably within hospitality, payments or SaaS
  • Deep understanding of product management processes, principles, and methodologies
  • Experience with Agile software development and tools, such as Jira
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with datasets to drive data-informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and a strong interest in emerging technologies
  • Able to articulate customer problems and product concepts to internal stakeholders, developers and designers
  • Confidence to chair, structure, facilitate and lead conversations to achieve objectives
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into sizable deliverables to move features forwards
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail whilst working at a fast pace in an ambiguous and changing environment
  • Hands on approach to problem solving and getting things done
