Job Description

We are looking for a new Associate Director who has a strong track record of leading the environmental and consenting aspects of major projects, with particular focus on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious team with a forever growing proposition and client base. Our projects span all consenting regimes, all sectors and all phases of the project life cycle from the needs case development through to construction. Successful candidates will have proven experience of EIA and delivering successful consenting strategies, winning significant work as well as driving excellent collaboration with design teams that deliver project success.

Having recently been instructed on some of the nations most significant infrastructure projects. This role would suit someone who is excited by a broad range of different activities and who can quickly adapt to manage work within any of the key aspects of Major Infrastructure Development.

The Major Infrastructure team delivers a wider range of projects across all consenting regimes (e.g. DCO) and sectors (Solar, Energy & Major Infrastructure)

You will join us with a preferred professional/academic qualification within either Planning or Environment, ideally with core technical aspects of major infrastructure consenting. However other relevant professional backgrounds may also be considered. The ideal candidate will also have the experience that covers a range of consenting regimes and ideally experience across a range of sectors and typically hold professional accreditations with a recognised institution, such as APM, CMI, RTPI, IEMA or CEng.

The role will involve:

  • Acting as Project Director delivering projects across multiple consenting regimes including Development Consent Orders.
  • Supporting the growth of the Major Infrastructure and Environmental Planning Team at Lanpro.
  • New business winning.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams in winning and delivering work, and growing our technical capability
  • Creative commercial thinking to take opportunities to our clients.
