Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Proficient in performing nuclear medicine procedures according to established policies and procedures.
Radioisotope Administration:Capable of calculating, preparing, and administering radioisotope doses for diagnostic procedures.
Problem Solving: Skilled in questioning and investigating unusual findings related to nuclear medicine procedures.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through patient interaction, documentation, and correspondence.
Radiation Safety:Adherence to radiation safety management guidelines, applying ALARA principles to ensure safety for self, staff, and patients.
Documentation:Ability to create and input electronic medical records (EMR) documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance: Understanding and application of quality assurance and improvement processes.
Teamwork: Promotion of teamwork and cooperative efforts among colleagues and departments.
Training: Proficiency in assisting with the training of in-house staff, students, and new employees.
Technical Skills:Knowledge of basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email software. Familiarity with operating office equipment.
Education:Possession of a Bachelor s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a science or healthcare field (preferred).
Certifications and Licenses:Current certification including Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), OR The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [ARRT (N)].
Certification with the State of Washington Department of Health.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
Valid Washington State Drivers License.
Mathematical and Language Abilities: Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, writing reports, and presenting information effectively. Basic mathematical skills.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, typing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for computer work and close tasks.
Travel may be required.
