Our client,a vertically integrated developer, owner, & operator of retail assets with $1B+AUM seeks anHR Generalist with a minimum of 5 years experience to join their growing team based on-site in Chino, California.
The idealHR Generalist will be the key point of contact for employees, and will provide expert support and guidance to the firm s leaders in regards to all HR matters.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating HR systems, processes, & procedures, handling employee inquiries, maintaining employee records, and supporting the companies HR initiatives. This role requires strong communication skills, a high-level attention to detail, and a solid understanding of California labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
A day in the life of the successful HR Generalist includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing guidance, clarification, and support to company employees on HR matters.
- Communicatingand explaining HR programs, policies, and initiatives to employees
- Assisting in resolving employee concerns and escalating issues when necessary
- Coordinating and assisting with various HR processes such as employee onboarding, transfers, promotions, and terminations
- Researching, selecting, and implementing a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity in HRIS and other HR systems
- Preparing HR-related documents, including employment contracts, offer letters, and HR forms
- Assisting with payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing via ADP
- Ensuringcompliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of required HR reports such asEEO-1 reports and government filings
- Supporting the administrationof employee benefits programs, assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, and managing open enrollment
- Staying updatedon changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Assisting in resolving employee conflicts and grievances, maintaining confidentiality and fairness
- Conductinginvestigations into employee complaints and assist in implementing appropriate actions
- Supporting employee performance improvement process and disciplinary process as needed
- Assisting in fostering a positive work environment and employee engagement
Requirements
The ideal HR Generalist possesses the following skills & experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Previous experience in an HR support role or similar HR position (minimum of five years)
- Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR tools like ADP & HRIS programs
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Capable of adapting to company cultures, leadership styles, and policies
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
