Job Description

Job Title: Tailgate Event Manager

Company: Gameday Your Way

Location: South Bend, Indiana

Job type: Part-time/Seasonal

Pay: $22/hr


Overview: Gameday Your Way is a growing events hospitality business that specializes in delivering fun & engaging events for our customers before football games at Notre Dame, Northwestern, University of Wisconsin, Indiana University and Soldier Field. We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as Assistant Event Manager for our large private tailgate experiences. As the Assistant Event Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of tailgates for alumni and athletic associations of Notre Dame s opponents, which includes managing vendors, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute event plans, timelines, including setup, and teardown
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure successful event execution, including catering, entertainment, and promotional materials
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure a cohesive gameday experience
  • Oversee event staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, crowd control, and emergency protocols
  • Manage vehicle traffic and parking at the event.

Shift:

  • 10-14 hours + 90-minute event prep meeting.

Date Range:

  • Event days of October 14th and November 18th

Work Setting:

  • In-person at event sites near Notre Dame s campus

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, preferably in sports or entertainment industry
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and follow timelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors, clients, and staff
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate event staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
