Job Summary:

Assist in planning and setting up activities and personal care of residents in Adult Program. Support the Instructor in facilitating daily activities for the residents.The Adult Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in planning, organizing, and facilitating activities while providing personalized care to residents in the Adult Program. This position supports the Instructor in ensuring the well-being and engagement of residents during daily activities.

Job Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; Must be 18 years of age.
One year working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Ability to lift residents weighing up to thirty-five pounds independently, assist in 2-person
lifts, and utilize positioning equipment as needed.
Valid driver's license in state of residence and in good standing.
Must read, write, and speak English with excellent written and verbal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide atmosphere that maintains the safety, health, dignity, and well-being of residents.
Document progress for residents on a daily basis through Therap
Lift residents to alternate positions as needed.
Assist resident as needed in any intervention of the day.
Take residents on Community Outings and assist as needed or requested.
Assist in personal hygiene, toileting, and at breakfast as assigned.
Follow daily schedule of activities.
All other duties as assigned.
Transport Residents to outings and appointments as needed.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
