Job Description
Seeking a Mechanical Engineerfor a leading global provider of engineered solutions for the industrial and government industry.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Electro-mechanical and/or mechanical systems design experience. You have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. You are a proactive, team player with established verbal and written communication skills. You also have the ability to work to schedules under time constraints in a dynamic environment.
What you will do:
Responsible for generation and revision of detailed design drawings of custom highly sophisticated and technologically advanced systems.
Design and develop electro-mechanical and/or material handling systems in accordance with National codes and standards.
Create and modify concept drawings, detailed designs, assembly and fabrication drawings; BOMs; O&M manuals; and other related design documentation.
Generate and edit 2D and 3D designs.
Produce and/or validate design calculations to verify design.
Interact with a cross-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging).
Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites and sister facilities for technical discussions and projects.
Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Expertise in 3D CAD tools. SolidWorks preferred, AutoCad acceptable.
Prior experience in a QA controlled design environment (ISO 9000, NQA-1, or similar).
Working knowledge of pneumatic controls.
Familiarity with motion control products and standard motor/gearbox components.
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident.
Ability to travel domestically and Internationally.
