Job Description

Are you an experienced and dedicated Property Manager with a passion for real estate management? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client's team as a Property Manager in the Austin Zone Office, overseeing and optimizing a portfolio of west-side Chicago apartment buildings.


Responsibilities:

  • Listing and showcasing vacant properties, actively following up with prospective tenants to promptly and efficiently fill vacancies.
  • Scheduling and coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs to ensure a smooth and hassle-free transition for all parties involved.
  • Managing and coordinating maintenance, groundskeeping, and unit turn processes to maintain properties in excellent condition.
  • Conducting subsidy and periodic unit inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain tenant satisfaction.
  • Proactively inspecting apartment buildings and resolving any issues that arise to uphold tenants' living standards.
  • Ensuring timely rent payments and adherence to company policies while addressing tenant concerns with excellent communication skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of property management experience, with a focus on managing properties with close to 300 units.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing various property types, including apartments, residential, and multi-family units.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 and other relevant housing programs is a plus.
  • Must possess a reliable and insured vehicle for travel between properties as needed.
  • Exceptional work ethic, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to build rapport with tenants, address their needs, and ensure a positive living experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with tenants and team members.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to all local, state, and federal housing guidelines and regulations.
