Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by a large non-profit in the north metro of the Twin Cities to recruit for a Sr. Director of Supply Chain in the Minneapolis area.
Our client is one of the most visible and impactful Non-Profit companies in the Midwest! The Senior Director of Supply Chain will lead and drive end to end connectivity across the multiple supply chain functions to ensure safe, repeatable delivery of the day-to-day operations while developing strategy and plans to support an ambitious plan. The person in this newly created role will coach and develop the capability of their team of subject matter experts to become one cohesive team that can positively lead their teams through change. Responsibilities:
- Accountable to deliver results in human safety, food safety, quality, service, and cost.
- Lead a 70+ person organization with 3 direct reports including Operations Director, Transportation Director, and Facilities & Enterprise Efficiency Director.
- Collaborate with our National Coalition Office to establish best practices and determine future capabilities needed to reduce challenges for underserved people nationwide.
- Maximize facility utilization by improving routine, standard maintenance practices and growing capabilities to meet new needs of the relief network.
- Develop and execute multi-year supply chain strategy to support our client’s mission including project prioritization, capital investment, resource alignment, and timeline management.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration within the Supply Chain team and the company’s support functions, including stakeholder engagement and alignment.
- Model and inspire a growth mindset, encouraging the team to challenge the status quo.
- Grow and cultivate team culture to drive engagement across all levels.
- Model and build capability of leaders to:
- make data driven decisions.
- develop and execute projects within and beyond their teams.
- lead through change.
- Benchmark externally to spark innovation and apply industry best practices to the company’s supply chain.
- Develop and drive cycle KPI review and action planning.
- 5+ years of experience in leadership of a warehouse & transportation operation.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain leadership roles, including direct people leadership.
- P&L responsibility
- Experience leading significant organizational change.
- Fostering an inclusive culture for a diverse team
- Previous leadership of multiple location distribution network
- Successful completion of a complex supply chain optimization initiative.
- General facility management
- Long term capital budget planning
- Food industry experience
- Maintenance systems experience
