Who You Are:
We are seeking a highly strategic and forward-thinking Director of Brand Strategy & Product Innovation to join our passionate team at Kitsch. As the Director of Brand Strategy & Product Innovation, you will be responsible for driving the brand's growth and success by developing and implementing effective brand strategies, overseeing product innovation initiatives, and ensuring alignment with our target audience's evolving needs and preferences. Your role will be crucial in shaping the brand's direction, fostering innovation, and maximizing our market potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the overall brand strategy and positioning for Kitsch, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of product developers and designers, through ideation and execution fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform brand strategy and product innovation decisions.
  • Define and articulate the brand's unique value proposition, differentiators, and key messages to effectively position Kitsch in the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure consistent brand messaging, execution, and brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Drive product innovation initiatives, including ideation, concept development, and new product launches, to meet market demands and drive sales growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and market innovations to identify opportunities for product expansion and enhancement.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, ensuring effective launch planning, positioning, and marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the creative team to ensure brand consistency, visual identity, and compelling storytelling across all brand touchpoints.
  • Monitor and analyze market performance, consumer feedback, and sales data to measure the effectiveness of brand strategies and product innovations, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in brand strategy and product innovation, preferably within the beauty, haircare, or fashion industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies that drive market growth and consumer engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis to inform brand and product decisions.
  • Proven track record in driving product innovation and launching successful new products or product lines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven brand and product decisions.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design, aesthetics, and consumer preferences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross- functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for the beauty industry, haircare, and a genuine interest in self-expression.
