Job Description

Who We Are:
Rockton is excited to bring on a new Account Executive to its team. Rockton Connect is an ERP provider startup looking to expand its offering into the Cannabis industry and other potential markets. This role will be instrumental for the expansion into these new markets with a focus on companies in the fields of distribution, medical devices, and cannabis. Rockton Connect is powered and backed by its parent company, Rockton Software, which has been serving the ERP space since 1999.

What You Will Do:
The Account Executive will be responsible for several sales functions for Rockton Connect. They will be responsible for finding and closing our first 5 customers from the ground up. This role includes all pre-sales activities, prospecting, generating pipelines, demoing, closing opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Account Executive will be the face of the company publicly on LinkedIn and at all trade show events. This role will also be the ambassador for this brand, specifically for the cannabis, medical devices and distribution communities. This role will work closely with marketing and customer success teams to ensure an unparalleled customer experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct heavy outbound prospecting
  • Manage all incoming sales inquiries and respond directly or delegate to the appropriate internal team member
  • Familiarize yourself with current information about products and services available for customers
  • Position the value of the software and the mission we are bringing to organizations
  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to help them learn how Rockton Connect can help streamline their operations
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential buyers
  • Close business with new and existing customers at or above quota level
  • Partner with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategy as the company introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products
  • Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future
  • Attend selected trade shows and events, following the event pre-event and post- event strategy
  • Evangelize the Rockton Connect brand in the cannabis community with in-person representation in key markets as needed
  • Maintain key relationships within the cannabis community
  • Grow industry knowledge and stay abreast of law and legislation changes impacting the Rockton Connect ICPs/buyers
  • Achieve Acumatica Sales Badge within first 90 days of employment
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience selling SaaS (Software as a Service), ERP or complex software systems
  • Desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in sales
  • Experience in an early startup and early product market fit
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex technology
  • Strong motivational skills and demonstrated self-direction skills, positive attitude, and demonstrates accountability
  • Exceptional consultative selling and closing skills
  • Is a top producer in their current role
  • The ability to recognize consumer needs and provide detailed information to the consumer about the technical specifications of the computer software offered by the company
  • Actively monitor and manage the sales inquiries via phone and email
