Role description

We are seeking a Technical Writer who will be managing our Documentation (created on ReadMe software) and will be responsible for updating, improving, and developing this Documentation. The ideal candidate has experience with managing Help Center/Documentation based on ReadMe or look-a-like software, understands the importance of Customer experience with Documentation, is able to write high-quality texts on business and tech value of IT products, has experience with API Documentation and setting up API calls in it, is able to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner. This position includes Interaction with Product Office, Support and Developers teams on necessity.

Responsibilities:

• Effective and accurate management of technical documentation on products - write texts, design article layouts, capture screenshots and gifs, publish articles;
• Manage API Documentation - setting up API calls in API Documentation and writing/designing/updating guides for API Documentation;
• Management of Release Notes - writing, designing, and updating of release notes for ElectroNeek Platform;
• Management of How-to Articles - experience with writing, designing and updating articles on precise functionalities of IT products;
• Continuously measure the business performance and effectiveness of technical content, and deliver actionable metrics and insights on the usage of tech documentation by customers;
• Develop processes to reflect changing and expanding product content and documentation needs.

Requirements :

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing for software development and testing services projects;
• Experience with ReadMe documentation or look-a-like software;
• Understanding of the concept and methods of management of an effective technical documentation portal;
• Proven track record writing different types of IT Software documentation texts (product guides, API documentation, Release Notes, How-to Articles);
• Demonstrable strong writing, technical editing, article layout designs and production skills with a strong portfolio;
• Be able to deep dive into the technical side of the products;
• Experience with Jira software;
• Communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management;
• Fluent in English and Spanish;
• Portuguese intermediate or higher is nice to have;
• Ready for remote work: a quiet place with high-speed Internet, a powerful computer (Windows 10/11 Pro), and headsets.
