Job Description
To execute and coordinate effective installation and performance of advanced operating system, hardware and software on servers.
To install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
To support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
To monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding computer system to senior management.
To ensure company's(NAFTA) IT & IM policies, instructions and guidelines are applied consistently and periodically (minimum once per year) reviewed.
To maintain overall network security (including access to server rooms) , monitor network, computer and disk utilization.
To support, develop and implement NAFTA standards for work stations & laptop profiles (access rights, standard software, and memory usage).
To prepare periodical (monthly) reporting (IT cost type overview for NAFTA region with analysis vs. Budget & Forecast)
Operating systems and shop floors support:
SAP JIS module (1st level support)
PAS system local support
Responsible for inventory (annual) and provide accounting for company resources including software, server, workstations and laptops and ensure full alignment to general ledger (fixed assets).
Undertake and manage research, definition & development of a new Sharepoint and Forefront TMG Server including its implementation.
Play a lead role in developing & designing an IT disaster recovery plan as well as its implementation and continuous monitoring for adherence to the set standard as well as periodical internal audits and factual testing of the plans effectiveness for the NAFTA region.
Liaison to external service & system provider, T-systems.
Education :
Computer Science / Networking & Infrastructure lor equivalent
Professional Training:
3+ years of experience as an IT administrator.
Previous experience in an international context preferred.
Previous experience in the automotive sector is an added advantage.
