The following are the minimum requirements:
- Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering B.S.
- A minimum of five years experience in chemicals, industrial gases, food manufacturing, or closely related fields
- Have a background in applications, technical service, sales engineering, or process engineering.
- The following would be pluses: previous customer-facing experience, knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, chillers, and PLCs
- A minimum of 50% of the time must be spent travelling. Several of those trips are local - the general territory for this role is the Northeast US. Day trips and overnight trips are involved.
What You Will Do:
- This person will support the sales team and provide technical expertise for the sale of gas processing equipment and industrial gas solutions.
- This will include presentations in sales meetings and working with customer engineers and technical teams. This will identify and define solutions and business opportunities for both new and existing customers. Some of the responsibilities of this role will look more like technical roles, and some will be more customer-facing.
- The technical aspects will be related to helping assess customer needs and defining and scoping solutions that meet those needs.
- This will be in the form of capacity calculations, equipment sizing and specification, as well as commissioning, startup and troubleshooting on the back end of projects.
- The customer-facing responsibilities will be supporting the sales team with technical information that helps this company differentiate their products and solutions from their competitors, working with the marketing and business development teams to come up with effective messaging and supporting customers on the back-end with support and troubleshooting. This role covers the Northeast US. Overnight travel will be 2 nights/per week.
