A food manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance Manager due to a promotion.
They are looking for a maintenance professional to groom into a Plant Engineer in 36-48 months.
Candidates should be forward-thinking, have excellent training and troubleshooting skills, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
THE RESPONSIBILITY
Managing, training, and developing all maintenance staff, including Leads, Mechanics, Electricians, and Refrigeration Technicians.
Managing a team of 4 supervisors and more than 20 mechanics and electricians
Responsible for hiring, scheduling, payroll, and performance management of direct reports.
To maximize production output, collaborate daily with manufacturing to reduce maintenance downtime.
Supervises and leads maintenance staff.
Contribute to weekly 1:1 coaching meetings, 30, 60, 90-day and yearly performance reviews for Leads; monitor and audit their work. Members of the crew.
Provide assistance to the Plant Engineer with capital projects, automation upgrades, and robotic upgrades.
Ensures that safe practices and procedures are followed. Comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety codes, regulations, and requirements. Compliance and safety coaching on a monthly and weekly basis. Drives maintenance safety program with safety manager. Assists maintenance employees with safety training.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Preferably, you should have an AAS/BS/BA degree or experience equivalent to 5+ years in maintenance management.
The candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years of maintenance experience within a food manufacturing facility, preferably in high-speed packaging or a related field.
An understanding of mechanical and electrical repair is required
A thorough understanding of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, inventory management, and scheduling software is preferred.
