This position will provide administrative support to the payroll manager and administrative duties related to Finance. The primary responsibility will be handling the daily incoming mail to payroll which includes reviewing, sorting, scanning, recording, and redirecting to other departments as necessary. There will be other responsibilities as handling the process for wage garnishments, providing pay stub requests, and maintaining process documentation. Responding to billing concerns, insurance matters, and managing the calendar.

- Process all wage attachment orders and requests for assigned populations. Work with HR Service Center, vendor garnishments team, Legal and employees to resolve questions and errors, and ensure wage attachments are processed correctly and legally
- Provide support to the payroll team when requested
- Gathering and examining timesheets to ensure their validity.
- Entering start and end times onto the payroll software.
- Capturing approved annual and sick leave.
- Ensuring that compensation for overtime work is calculated at the appropriate rate and that annual leave is calculated accordingly, if applicable.
- Confirming that legally-mandated and optional deductions have been processed correctly.
- Preparing and distributing hard copy or electronic paychecks.
- Performing all tasks well before the pay run to ensure that staff members are compensated and notified on time.
- Addressing queries about payroll-related issues.
- Working to resolve discrepancies in payments as a matter of urgency.
