MULTIPLYING GOOD CHAPTERS

Our success as an organization is realized through the work that takes place in our branches or regional chapters. Multiplying Good currently runs 11 chapters nationwide, one being the San Francisco Bay Area, to deliver 0ur flagship youth program, Students In Action (SIA). SIA is a unique service, leadership, and recognition program for high school and older middle school students In the San Francisco Bay Area, youth across the region have participated in SIA for 15 years.


Multiplying Good is seeking an experienced individual who is passionate about engaging youth in service-learning todevelop and manage youth programming in the San Francisco Bay Area region. Supported by the executive director, duties of the Senior Manager, Programs and Partnerships include management of program staff, interns, or other support personnel, recruitment and retention of program participants, event logistics and planning, training preparation and support, on-going technical assistance, data collection and evaluation, marketing and communications, and networking and relationship-building with community leaders and stakeholders all of which are critical to Multiplying Good s ability to build brand awareness in service of scaling SIA across the San Francisco Bay Area within the next 12 to 18 months.


The workflow of this position will align with the school calendar; duties from August through May will focus on execution, while June and July are reserved for planning and strategic initiatives.



POSITION SUMMARY

Students In Action (SIA) is a best-practice, research-informed service-learning and leadership development program for teens that uses project-based volunteerism as the vehicle through which youth gain critical skills necessary for success in high school, college, and beyond. Reporting to the Executive Director, San Francisco Bay Area, a successful candidate for the role of Senior Manager, Programs and Partnerships in the San Francisco Bay Area region will be an experienced manager who is passionate and dedicated to the power of service and how it can transform the lives of others. Candidates for this position should have significant experience leading and managing program staff, working hands-on with youth and their caring adults, designing, and executing service-learning initiatives, implementing events and programs, and cultivating and stewarding partnerships with colleges, universities, businesses, volunteers, and community-based


Core to this roles success will be an ability toengage community leaders, partners, and volunteers, building the Multiplying Good community through programming and partnerships across the region.




Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The activities below are core to, but not limited to, the work of Multiplying Good to make an impact across the San Francisco Bay Area:


Program Management

  • Hire, onboard, train, and manage program staff, including but not limited to other program managers or associates, interns, AmeriCorps members, work-study students,

  • Oversee the performance evaluation and professional development of direct reports, supporting them in the creation of their annual work plan and providing necessary feedback and guidance on their work

  • With support from the executive director, design and implement a strategic SIA growth plan for the region, informing and executing the action steps necessary for achieving scale in the San Francisco Bay


Program Recruitment and Outreach

  • Outreach to new schools and districts for the purpose of scaling Students In Action (SIA) across the San Francisco Bay Area. This includes occasional outreach to out-of-school-time programs that may be interested in starting SIA ;

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with organizations that support the scale of SIA across the region, including colleges, universities, nonprofits, businesses, athletic organizations,


Program Partnerships

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with organizations that further the mission of Multiplying Good, including media outlets, corporate and community foundations, United Ways, with support from national Multiplying Good staff

  • Attend and participate in school-community meetings as necessary and permitted, such as parent-teacher associations, school improvement councils, nonprofit or out-of-school-time provider collaboratives,

  • Work with and establish partnerships with regional education

  • Act as an ambassador for Students In Action and the mission of Multiplying Good, presenting at local civic organization meetings such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Civitan, Junior League,

  • Manage and liaise with schools and districts as required to maintain vendor or partner

  • Attend and participate in meetings of the Multiplying Good San Francisco Bay Area Advisory Board and identify and steward additional Advisory Board members as
