ABOUT THE POSITION

With a fast-growing portfolio of projects this position supports Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) functions of the Alliance Africa Regional Office, and global teams in the other regional hubs depending on As a member of the Alliance Africa team, he/she works closely with other regional management support (RMS) The position reports to the Head of Strategic Performance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guides project development initiatives in formulating research-for-development impact pathways and theories of change, and in preparing M&E components/sections of project proposals and work
  • Facilitates M&E planning and execution for the entire project cycle including use of institutional systems, tools and guidelines for research planning and
  • Supports M&E-driven learning for the regional team towards achieving Alliance research-for development agenda in
  • Designs and implements M&E capacity strengthening strategies for staff and partners and promotes the establishment of relevant communities of
  • Manages M&E linkages with other Alliance research support teams, within the region and

  • Bachelors degree in scientific disciplines related to socio-economic development, agricultural and environmental/natural resource systems, and data/information/knowledge Master s level studies and/or additional M&E-related professional trainings is an
  • At least four years of relevant work experience, including practical application of M&E methods and tools, preferably in research-for-development programs and
  • Computer-related skills including the use of digital/online platforms, applications and
  • Excellent level of professional English proficiency, both in writing and
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively perform in a multi-cultural, team-based and virtual-group work
