Job Description

About the position

Provide financial support for the projects that are being developed by the Alliance Research Areas and This involves a budgetary analysis of proposals and financial support during the project management lifecycle, ensuring compliance with donor requirements (coordinating opening of a BUS, coordinating uploading budgetary information and necessary adjustments, confirming funds availability for the projects staff contracts and signing of partner agreements, consultancy among other tasks). The position will interact closely with the PLANS team based at the Alliance headquarters in Rome and the other Reporting to the PLANS Regional Associate

Key Responsibilities

Prepare budgets and financial reports of the assigned

Provide financial support focus on budget preparation, analysis and execution to research managers/coordinators accountable for agreements/projects/contracts at the institutional

Assure compliance with financial and contractual obligations for the assigned

Contribute to the optimization of the different processes in the PLANS

Support the PLANS Office with financial management of grants assigned to other

Review partner s financial reports and provide relevant
- Review the partner financial reports and ensure that the financial reporting checklist is complete; detect and report
- Review the transaction list provided by the partner and ensure it matches with the financial
- Review supporting evidence provided by the partner and take the necessary actions as
- Make the GRN and prepare the transaction entry to include reported expenses by the partner in our

Coordinate the grant opening and data management in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Prepare the grant opening template for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system opening
