Job Description

Position: Contracts Manager

Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am -3:30pm

Type: Full-Time Mode:Direct Placement

POSITION SUMMARY:
Accountable to the Chief Financial Officer, the client Contracts Manager is responsible for administration of all aspects of Contract Management to assure legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance while assuring the interests of the Company are Within the aerospace and defense environment where client operates, the Contract Manager will also be responsible for export compliance, negotiation, and document review while leveraging partnered legal This position will also assist in the preparation of proposals for new business Must possess great initiative yet be able to function well as part of a fast-paced, dynamic

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review and manage all contracts requirements to assure that clients meets all customer Track contract deliverables, customer communications and billing to assure that accurate contract records are
Monitor contract performance to assure that all activity remains within the scope of the contract and identify opportunities for contract changes to
Establish and maintain electronic and hardcopy contract record keeping systems compliant with internal procedures, customer requirements, and government regulations and
Assure company compliance to import/export requirements of goods and services under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customs regulations, and other trade regulations, while leveraging available legal
Prepare and monitor the status of Export Licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements, Commodity Jurisdictions, Classification Requests, and other requests for approval to the Office of Defense Trade Controls, of State; the Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of Commerce, and the Office of Foreign Assets
Work with Management leaders on the negotiation of contracts to assure that the company gets the most favorable contract, schedule and price terms
Review business documents (examples: Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA s), Teaming Agreements, Distributor Agreements, License Agreements, Letters of Credit, ) and make recommendations to
Develop procedures and processes for daily research of all government and worldwide websites for potential RFQ s, IFB s and RFP s, with a special emphasis on the company s small business status for developmental and manufacturing
Participation in the preparation and review of proposals to assure that all contract terms are known and understood and to advise management of potential problems related to the performance of the proposed contract

Requirements

Previous experience in Aerospace and Defense contract area (4-6 years preferred).
At least 3 years of experience managing federal government contracts
Detailed working knowledge of FAR &
Bachelor s Degree in Business or related field
Detailed working knowledge of Government aerospace and defense industry contractual and purchasing
Experience with ITAR and Government export control
Previous experience in negotiating contract
Ability to read, understand, and write contracts, agreements, and related business
General computer skills (to include Microsoft Office Suite software).
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to fully leverage available internal and external resources in the performance of position responsibilities; highly collaborative skill set is
Occasional travel will be required to other facilities and for training
