SUMMARY of POSITION
Cafe Manager
Position Summary:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the food service operation to ensure service ofhigh-quality meals following established policies and procedures
- Delivers quality customer service to all patrons
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Reports To:
Area Manager
Supervisory Duties:
Manage a team to include cooks, cashiers, and food service
Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies and procedures
- Forecast and plan all tasks related to food production
- Place orders for all food and supplies
- Ensure delivery of all orders is accurate, and food safety practices are followed inreceiving and storage of food and supplies
- Hire and train employees in all phases of their job responsibilities
- Assist in all daily duties in the operation, as necessary, to ensure quality food andexcellent customer service
- Complete and maintain all required records and reports
- Meet all budgetary goals
- Communicate with clients on a regular basis to receive feedback and ensure thatexpectations are being met
- Interact with customers on a daily basis to receive feedback on menu items
- Resolve all issues pertaining to personnel
- Communicate as required with the area manager to apprise of daily operations
- Perform additional duties as required by the area manager

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma
Work Experience:
Previous experience working in a food service management role and able to perform jobduties listed in Essential
Additional Requirements:
- All employees are required to pass a Level 2 background check before beginningemployment
- Certified in Serv-Safe and have extensive knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to organize time and establish work priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to perform under stress and manage emergency situations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurement conversions
- Ability to schedule work assignments
- Basic understanding of computer systems such Microsoft Office products, Internet, andPOS software
